What We Do

Eight ways we reach the nation

Every programme AHDF runs sits under one of these real project areas — from women's shelters to disaster relief.

Women Shelters & Empowerment

Safe shelter and rehabilitation support for women, including counselling for survivors of gender-based violence.

Health & Rehabilitation Services

Public health outreach and rehabilitation services for people affected by illness, disability, and birth defects.

Orphanage & Child Care

Care for orphaned and vulnerable children, including non-surgical corrective care for children born with club foot.

Counselling & Awareness Hubs

Counselling and awareness services covering abortion, baby dumping, and other urgent social issues.

Education, Skills & Training

Educational programmes and practical skills training that open a path toward independence.

Prison Programs & Reintegration

Programmes inside correctional facilities that prepare incarcerated people for life after release.

Disaster Relief & Emergency Aid

Rapid relief distributions — food, blankets, clothing, and footwear — for families facing hardship or crisis.

Community Development Projects

Broader development projects that align local priorities with the AU's Agenda 2063 and the Harambee Prosperity Plan.

Our Belief

What we believe about the people we serve

“We believe that the most important resource of Africa is its people — especially the vulnerable, the under-privileged, those born with health defects, orphans and children, women in poverty-stricken communities, and those who find themselves at the centre of various social ills. It is imperative that we help our beneficiaries strengthen themselves, sustaining their own lives while maintaining their dignity and self-worth.”
