Community Feeding Programme
Warm meals and food parcels for families in food-insecure communities across the Zambezi Region — delivered alongside AHDF’s blanket, clothing and footwear distributions.

The Need
Why this programme exists
Drought, flooding, and seasonal hardship regularly leave families across the Zambezi Region without reliable access to food. Maize meal, cooking oil, and basic groceries are often the difference between a household coping and a household in crisis.
How It Works
What your gift funds
- ✓ Community leaders and local volunteers identify households and elderly residents most in need ahead of each distribution.
- ✓ AHDF sources maize meal, cooking oil, and other staples through member contributions, fundraising, and partner support.
- ✓ Volunteers pack and transport food parcels to community distribution points, often alongside blanket and clothing relief.
- ✓ Parcels are handed out directly to families, with priority given to households with young children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
