Shamiso Mutasa Machiwana

Professional Profile

Shamiso Mutasa Machiwana is Director of Africa Hope Development Foundation's Katima Mulilo Branch. She is passionate about people, purpose, and building communities that last, leading initiatives in education, health, and sustainable development across the Zambezi Region.

With a background in real estate, hospitality, and healthcare, Shamiso brings more than 12 years of leadership and service to her role. She has worked as a Property Manager and a Medical Assistant, and is the owner of a Health Meal Service. She also has hands-on experience in humanitarian projects, and serves people with excellence and compassion in every setting.

She holds a degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Cyprus University, and serves faithfully as a Deaconess at Model Prayer Ministries International Church.

Shamiso is especially committed to empowering young women and creating safe spaces where everyone can express themselves with dignity and without prejudice. She believes that when people are heard, supported, and equipped, entire communities are strengthened.

At home, she is a devoted wife and mother, intentional about nurturing young hearts and minds with a sustainability mindset so they can become change agents in their own communities. As she puts it: ‘Each and every one of us has the ability to create the change needed in the world with the right mindset and skills.’ Through Africa Hope, her business, and her family, she is creating space for that change to happen — one home, one meal, one community at a time.
