Women shelters and rehabilitation centres, with counselling and awareness work around gender-based violence and what Namibian communities refer to as “passion killing” — intimate-partner violence that turns fatal.

Comprehensive public health outreach interventions, including support for orphans born with health defects and rehabilitation services delivered directly in the communities that need them most.
Orphanage & Child Care
Orphanage support and child care, including PONSETI-method non-surgical club-foot corrective measures, so that children born with treatable conditions are not left behind.
Counselling & Awareness Hubs
Abortion counselling and baby-dumping reception homes, alongside broader awareness hubs addressing alcohol abuse and other social ills affecting families across the communities we serve.
Education, Skills & Training
Educational programmes for vulnerable community members, paired with job-skills training that gives people a practical route toward sustaining themselves with dignity.
Prison Programs & Reintegration
Prison programmes, job-skills training, and feeding programmes for incarcerated individuals — building toward responsible reintegration rather than repeat cycles of hardship.
Disaster Relief & Emergency Aid
Emergency disaster relief aid for the underprivileged, orphans, and communities affected by conflict or hardship — delivered through on-the-ground distributions of food, blankets, clothing, and footwear across the Zambezi Region and beyond.
Community Development Projects
Wider community development projects aligned with the Harambee Prosperity Plan and AU Agenda 2063 — built together with the communities they are meant to serve, not handed down to them.

AHDF is based in Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region, and reaches communities across the region and beyond, in collaboration with local leaders and, where relevant, the Office of the Governor.
AHDF keeps costs lean so that member contributions and donations go toward the eight project areas rather than overhead. Ask us for a breakdown for any specific programme you're supporting.
